Being Three

I have decided that 3 is definitely a turning point, at least in our home! Aaron is really starting to understand his world more and more and its fun seeing his excitement about life and watching the world through his eyes through his role playing. It seems our days are filled with a little more balance and not consumed with constant correction and instruction. The bond between he and Owen is beautiful and an answer to prayer. Today Aaron was sleeping on the couch with his hand open and Owen kept putting a ball in it to get him to play. He would giggle and grab at Aaron but nothing would rouse him. Later when Aaron was awake he spontaneously kissed and hugged Owen and they would just sit and smile at each other and try to make each other laugh....definitely another snapshot moment to treasure in a mother's heart.

Birthday Goodies

Every good birthday includes a little Tim Horton's :) And Matt made sure Aaron's cake had the perfect touch with lots of Ms (as Aaron calls them) and sprinkles! He enjoyed his birthday and this one was marked by his understanding of and excitement about it.

It's a Strike!

Last week Aaron took on Daddy at the bowling alley and bowled his first strike! He was disappointed that meant he couldn't roll another ball right then :)

Finger Paints

Aaron had a hard time waiting to try out his first set of paints!

First 100 Piece Puzzle

Lincoln Logs

Aaron is thoroughly enjoying building with his new set...and so is Mama and Daddy :) We stayed up one night to finish building the whole prairie and Aaron practically jumped out of bed the next morning to go see. It is amazing how mechanically his mind is working. Watching him with his tools and building these Lincoln log sets allows us to see him figuring things out and translate what he sees at home into his imaginary play...we may have a little contractor or engineer on our hands!

Daddy's HelperS

Dinner Time

Meals are getting one step closer to "normal" now that Owen has moved from pureed to chopped and finger foods! He and Aaron can often have the same items now!
