6 months

It's hard to believe (and a relief!) the first half of Owen's first year is past...he is growing well and is healthy and happy...such simple but huge blessings. Aaron and he have developed such a special bond and are already interacting a lot. They will be good for each other. As I sit here literally surrounded by my Precious and my sons and my sweet husband (we have unexpected family time due to my current back injury), my cup of the things that matter most fills full.

Playing Cousins

It was fun to watch Owen and Jamison interact at this stage of their development. They have similar personalities too, which made the twin impression seem stronger.

Playing "holes"

Uncle Nathan

The Next Generation

Meeting Friends

Red Sox Fans

Raisins

Ever since Mamma was here in March, Aaron is crazy about this fruit.

Hanging Out

Build a Bear

The weather prohibited us from taking the boys on some prior planned outings but Aaron loved the alternative option of making his very own dog named Banjo (one of his new favorite words he learned on a flash card for the letter "b")

Uncle Kevin and Aunt ("ant") Matilda

Uncle Matt

Snuggles with Pappa and Mamma

Uncle Kevin's Exercises

Cousins

The Aggie cousins have appropriately outnumbered Aaron's UT shirt :)

Aaron kept thinking Jamison was another "Owen", using phrases such as"2 boys" and "2 Owens".... not sure if it's because he's another boy baby close in age or because they look so much alike...he has not done that with his friend's little brother who is also close in age. He also recently looked at a picture of himself and called it "Aaron and Owen", which is a little more believable since their baby pictures are very hard to differentiate.

It was a privilege to be able to coordinate this trip together!

Big Boy Slide

When Aaron made it to the bottom of the slide that was meant for older kids, another toddler looked at him incredulously and commented, "but he's not tall???"

So Many Parks to Explore

Taking it all in

Time for Giggles

Helping Mamma "Organize"

Time for Milkshakes

...and Owen wondering why he couldn't have some when he is now eating from a spoon!

Family Time

We enjoyed many dates and also much time with the boys just for having fun without as many distractions of the demands of daily life and work.

Time with Pappa

Aaron enjoyed not only hearing the train often from the house but also watching trains on the Internet with Pappa.

Another Morning at Another Park

Meeting Great Grandma

Aaron enjoyed the extra perk that Great Grandma has a putting green at her apartment complex!

Carousel Ride

After a brief, hot morning at the park we cooled off in a local mall. Aaron especially enjoyed the pet store and a ride on the carousel.

Getting to Texas

Aaron was so excited about going "way up high in the skies". He was just sure we'd be on a rocket just like Curious George! There was much for a curious mind to explore and he had the bonus of a unique water fountain and a train ride at the Detroit airport.

Ready for Solids

Apparently Owen wanted to wait for Texas to willingly take solids...he is enjoying everything we've offered so far!
