Daddy's Busy Hands

We all love it when Matt comes home to help and play and give (and receive) lots of lovin!

Like Cat Like Baby

Precious keeps an eye on him, but thanks to Beth and Ben she knows to stay a safe distance from a hand's grasp!

Our Personal Animal Kingdom

Our apple tree has become the Starbucks for Maine wildlife! We frequently catch sightings or footprints of deer, foxes, birds, or turkeys in our backyard. Our camera and binoculars have come in handy for getting a closer look!

Snuggle Time with Daddy

Since we are only getting sleep in 2 or 3 hour increments, we steal naps whenever we can! However, I'm hopeful that that will improve now that we've gotten our feeding issues worked out (we think!)

Lots of Family!

Aaron meets his Uncle Adam!

Grandparents

Aaron is very fortunate to have not only both sets of grandparents but 3 sets of great grandparents as well! Recently he was able to meet Matt's grandma from Michigan..and he loved the blanket she made for him!

Tummy Time

One of the rare times we caught him with his eyes open (I got what I prayed for...a good sleeper…and didn’t realize the price I would pay for that during his mealtimes!).

Meeting Aunt Audrey

Aaron loved his weekend with Matt’s sister (and we enjoyed the help!!!).

Sibling Rivalry

Just like kids! No matter how many places there are to sleep, Precious has discovered and taken claim to one of Aaron’s favorite spots (thankfully Aaron finds car rides sleep inducing).

Did Someone Say “Milk”?!

As you can see, I am holding Aaron during feeding time. Precious clearly is not concerned that the whole purpose of the Boppy is for me to rest my arms while supporting Aaron during this time…not for her to have a warm spot to snuggle close to the source of the milk! By the way, Aaron’s weight is “out of the woods” so to speak and all other issues seem to have cleared up…so I think we are on our way to just enjoying having him without so much constant attention going towards his physical needs.

Aaron’s Feet

We frequently hear about how big Aaron’s feet are (contributed by Grandpa Bentley). When he was being delivered the nurses commented on his Michael Phelps’ feet. Later we received the same comment by a nurse at the pediatrician’s office. Swimming is not all the rage up here but we hope he puts those feet to good use on the soccer field! The problem with skinny legs and long feet right now is that we can’t keep his socks on…these big fuzzy slippers lasted a little bit longer. Aaron loved all the TLC he shared with Mama (pronounced maa maw) while she was visiting. Speaking of feet, Dana’s loving being able to see hers again!
